SUMMARY & BACKGROUND
The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) recommends approval of an increase in spending authority to cover costs above the current approved contract amount for food management services.
Scope of Work: Department of BHDD has experienced an increase in 2022 due to BHDD Centers reopening and Clients returning to the Centers after being closed during COVID19. The vendor has provided monthly management services according to the contract and BHDD continues to pay it a management fee of $4,064.01 per month for 3 BHDD Centers. For the current 2022 budget year, BHDD requested $45,737.00 in spending authority based on the 2020 and 2021 spending levels. However, this amount will not be sufficient for payment of all of the 2022 invoices.
Community Impact: BHDD desires to cover the costs and meet the contractual obligations for FY2022.
