Request approval to renew existing contracts - Department of Real Estate and Asset Management, 25ITB1483477C-JH, Fire Extinguisher Testing and Maintenance Services in the total amount not to exceed $70,000.00 with (A) Cliff’s Fire Extinguisher Co., Inc. (Woodstock, GA) in the amount not to exceed $30,000.00 and (B) Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, Inc. (Duluth, GA) in the amount not to exceed $25,000.00, and (C) Jones Welding & Industrial Supplies, Inc. (Albany, GA) in the amount not to exceed $15,000.00, to provide fire extinguisher testing and maintenance services on an “as-needed” basis for Fulton County facilities. This action exercises the first of two renewal options. One renewal option remains. Effective dates: January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027. (APPROVED UPON ADOPTION OF THE CONSENT AGENDA)

Requirement for Board Action
In accordance with Purchasing Code Section 102-394(6), the Purchasing Department shall present all renewal requests to the Board of Commissioners at least 90 days prior to the contract renewal date, 60 days if the contract term is six (6) months or less.

Summary & Background: These contracts furnish all materials, parts, labor, equipment, transportation, and appurtenances necessary to provide on-site fire extinguisher testing and maintenance services for Fulton County facilities.
These are time and material contracts. The total requested amount of $70,000.00, will cover costs associated with the following: 1) inspection labor, 2) replacement of all parts/components found to be deficient during inspections, and 3) replace extinguishers as necessary.
