Effective upon BOC approval.

REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION
In accordance with the State of GA O.C.G.A. ?36-91 Georgia Local Government Public Works Construction Law, all competitive sealed proposals (RFPs) for public works construction projects (CM at Risk, Construction Program Management, Design/Build Projects) costing $250,000 or more shall be forwarded to the Board of Commissioners for approval.

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND: During the demolition of the 475 Fairburn Rd facility, mold was discovered and required remediation before moving forward with the renovation's primary scope of work. Additionally, the City of Atlanta changed its original review summation of the permit application as it relates to emergency fire line service, requiring a new fire line to be installed. Approval of this Change Order No. 2 is needed to modify the existing contract to allow the execution of two (2) additional services (as referenced below) to complete the renovation of the South Training Center located at 475 Fairburn Road, SW Atlanta, GA 30331.
