National Opioid Litigation Settlements have been reached with the major manufacturers, distributors, and dispensers of opioids, resulting in funds designated for local governments, including Fulton County, to support efforts to mitigate the opioid crisis ("Settlement Funds"). According to the State of Georgia's Memorandum of Understanding regarding the Settlement Funds, participating local governments shall form advisory councils to help determine how these Settlement Funds will be spent for opioid remediation.
