The October 4, 2023 Soundings request is submitted for your review and approval.  Below is a brief summary of each request and related justification.

GENERAL FUND:

Strategic Priority Area: Health and Human Services 

                     Senior Services 

 

Increase the FY2023 Budget for the Department of Senior Services - $1,200,000.

The Senior Services Department request to increase the Common Courtesy contract # 21RFP000016A - CJC for a budget increase of $1,200,000; based on the BOC Agenda Item #23-0321. This vendor, through their partnership with local Transportation Network Companies providers, establishes dispatch/concierge services for senior residents aged 60 and above. This request is due to the BOC approved Enhancements for the Alternative Senior Transportation Program provided through Contract # 21RFP000016A - CJC.

The funding for the contract is in the Non-Agency Health Reserve and will be transferred to Senior Services.
