Request approval to amend an existing contract - Department of Real Estate and Asset Management, 24ITB1312273C-GS, Solid Waste Disposal and Recycling Services Countywide with (A) Latham Home Sanitation Company, Inc. (Loganville, GA), to add shredding and disposal of materials services (Group 5) for Fulton County facilities; and to assume the responsibilities according to the terms and conditions of the contract. Effective upon BOC approval, through December 31, 2026. (APPROVED UPON ADOPTION OF THE CONSENT AGENDA)

Requirement for Board Action
In accordance with Purchasing Code Section 102-420, contract modifications within the scope of the contract and necessary for contract completion of the contract, in the specifications, services, time of performance or terms and conditions of the contract shall be forwarded to the Board of Commissioners for approval.

Summary & Background: Carter 1 Enterprises, LLC was initially awarded a contract for shredding and disposal of materials services (Group 5) for Fulton County facilities?in the amount of $25,000.00?on?March 19, 2025, as Item #25-0204, with effective dates: April 4,?2025,?through December 31, 2025, with two renewal options. The BOC approved renewing the existing contract on September 17, 2025, as Item #25-0695, effective January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026.
Due to unsatisfactory performance rating of 34 (see Exhibit 3- CPR), Carter 1 has failed to deliver the services according to the terms and conditions of the contract.
