This contract will provide part-time or intermittent forensic autopsy services for the FCME on an as needed basis to address unanticipated, critical staffing shortages, peak workloads, unexpected emergencies, vacation coverage or services needs that are sporadic or unpredictable in nature.
The ME's Office current accreditation status necessitates a reliance upon these part-time and intermittent services provided by the Independent Contractors to address peak workloads, unexpected emergencies, vacation coverage, service needs that are sporadic or unpredictable in nature, and to ensure compliance with the accrediting agency: National Association of Medical Examiners.
