Request approval to amend an existing contract - Emergency Management, Fulton County Animal Services, 23RFP052223C-MH, Animal Services with Lifeline Animal Project, Inc (Avondale Estates, GA) to amend the existing contract to modify the scope of work; to clarify the role of the Animal Services Contract Administrator; and, to adjust compensation based on the revised scope of work; authorizing the County Attorney to approve the Amendment and related documents as to form and to make modifications thereto prior to execution. Effective January 1, 2026.

In accordance with Purchasing Code Section 102-420, contract modifications within the scope of the contract and necessary for contract completion of the contract, in the specifications, services, time of performance or terms and conditions of the contract shall be forwarded to the Board of Commissioners for approval.

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND This contract provides animal services to include all personnel, supplies, utilities and equipment for the unincorporated areas of Fulton County as well as the cities of Alpharetta, Atlanta, Chattahoochee Hills, College Park, East Point, Fairburn, Hapeville, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, Palmetto, Roswell, Sandy Springs, South Fulton and Union City. The cost of this contract is shared with the 15 municipalities that we serve, as well as unincorporated Fulton County.
