Scope of Work: This presentation will update the Board of Commissioners on the current status of the AMI project, specifically the details about the first phase to be implemented in 2026 and the long-term plan for AMI to be implemented throughout the North Fulton Water Service Area.

 

Community Impact: AMI technology will allow for real-time meter reading and increased understanding of water consumption/usage by specific time periods of a day.

 

Department Recommendation: For the BOC to hear the update

 

Project Implications: No approvals are currently necessary from the BOC.

 

Community Issues/Concerns: The community continues to request this level of meter reading.

 

Department Issues/Concerns: The department supports the AMI implementation plan and is committed to utilize the existing water meter infrastructure as much as possible.
