Request approval to increase the spending authority for an existing contract between Fulton County and the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia on behalf of Cooperative Extension in the amount of $640.00 and to approve the execution of a revised contract, as may be amended as to form by the County Attorney, to provide increases in compensation to UGA staff resulting from the changes to the UGA Teachers Retirement System benefits. The original contract was approved by the BOC on 11/15/2023 (item # 23-0816) in the amount of $203,450.00 and the revised contract will be in the amount $204,090.00. (APPROVED UPON ADOPTION OF THE CONSENT AGENDA)

Recommend to amend the approved spending authority of an existing contract between the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension and the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. Original contract was approved by the BOC on 11/15/2023 (item #23-0816) in the amount of $203,450.00. A revised contract has been received with an increase of $640.00 difference making the amount of $204,090.00. Increase is caused by the UGA Teachers Retirement System which the BOC pay for the UGA staff in the Fulton County Cooperative Extension Department for salaries and benefits as part of the original contract.
