REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. ? 36-1-19.1, the Board of Commissioners may appropriate money for or the making of any grant or contribution for purely charitable purposes in the form of contracts for services, with "purely charitable purposes" meaning charitable, benevolent, or philanthropic purposes for health, education, social welfare, arts and humanities, or environmental organizations.

Pursuant to Fulton County Code ? 1-117, the Board of Commissioners has exclusive jurisdiction and control in directing and controlling all the property of the county, as they may deem expedient, according to law, having the care, management, keeping, collecting, or disbursement, of money belonging to the county, or appropriated for its use, making such rules and regulations for the support of the poor of the county, and for the promotion of health, as are not inconsistent with law, and to exercise such other powers as are granted by law, or are indispensable to their jurisdiction over county matters and county finances.
