The Police Department is requesting approval to purchase a Judgmental Pistol Simulator provided by InVeris Training Solutions, Inc. at $62,500.00. The system provides all of the requirements that are needed for officers' daily training relative to today's environment. The training system allows officers to train in close engagements where trainee interaction with the adversary is required to determine the correct level of force from less-lethal actions to lethal.
This system will be used to familiarize approximately two thousand (2,000) veteran officers per year and two hundred (200) new recruited officers in training how to respond to domestic violence, de-escalation, crisis intervention and daily public relations incidents as they occur on the job.
