REQUIREMENT FOR BOARD ACTION
In accordance with Purchasing Code Section 102-394(6), the Purchasing Department shall present all renewal requests to the Board of Commissioners at least 90 days prior to the contract renewal date or 60 days if the contract term is six (6) month or less.

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND

The Department of Senior Services recommends approval of the contract renewal for Common Courtesy to provide Alternative Senior Transportation Services.

Scope of Work: The Department manages non-emergency medical transportation through its MOST model (Mobility Options for Senior Transport). The Alternative Senior Transportation Program is designed for seniors aged 60 and above who are more ambulatory and do not require assistance beyond the use of a cane to walk. Transportation services are the conduit to connect seniors to daily living activities and life enrichment services. This service has been impactful and shown to counter senior isolation, lower waiting times and provides same day service.
