SUMMARY & BACKGROUND

Request approval of a contract between Fulton County and the City of Fairburn in the amount of $215,004 to perform improvements to the Fairburn Annex and acquire a vacant lot for drive up COVID testing. Post COVID, the vacant lot will be used for overflow parking for constituents visiting the Fairburn Annex. These projects are a part of the City of Fairburn's Operation F.A.C.T. (Fairburn Addressing Covid 19 Transmission) initiative.

On August 19, 2020, the Board of Commissioners approved a Resolution (Agenda Item # 20-0577), to accept the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) CDBG CV-1 award in the amount of $1,098,603, and related CDBG Covid projects to prepare for, prevent, and respond to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) for Fulton County's low to moderate-income citizens.
