Request approval of a contract between Fulton County and the Atlanta Association for Convalescent Aged Persons, Inc., a Georgia non-profit corporation, to provide funding of $1,200,000.00 as non-recurring for FY2023 for the operation of Sadie G. Mays Health and Rehabilitation Center. Effective upon BOC approval with automatic renewals subject to the appropriation of future funding. The County Attorney is authorized to approve the contract as to form and to make modifications thereto prior to execution. (APPROVED UPON ADOPTION OF THE CONSENT AGENDA)

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. ? 36-1-19.1 Counties are authorized to appropriate money for and make grants or contributions to any corporation, association, institution, or individual for purely charitable purposes, provided that the activities funded by any such grants or contributions shall take place within the county making such grant or contribution. Pursuant to O.C.G.A. ? 36-10-1, all contracts entered into by the county governing authority with other persons on behalf of the county shall be in writing and entered on its minutes.
