SUMMARY & BACKGROUND
This request to increase spending authority is necessary in order to process FY2022. The number increase would come directly from Fulton County DFACS who certifies and approved who is to be buried. The County received a higher number of burials from DFACS for FY 2022. Fulton County is obligated by the Georgia Cemetery Act (O.C.G.A. 110-14-1 et. Seq) to provide indigent burial services.
Scope of Work: Provide interment and cremation services for the indigent to include cemetery plots, furnishing of gravesites, cement vault, opening and closing of grave sites, lowering services, cremation, and interment of cremains and perpetual, care. This is done pursuant to the O.C.G.A ? 36-12-5, keeping of adequate records of all such interments and providing of normal maintenance care which all lot owners receive.
