Request approval to renew existing contracts - Department of Public Works, 19ITB120718A-FB, Sewer System Cleaning and Manholes Camera Inspection Services in the amount of $300,000.00 with Video Industrial Services, Inc. (Birmingham, AL) to provide sewer system cleaning and manholes camera inspection services. This action exercises the second of two renewal options. No renewal options remain. In accordance with Purchasing Code Section 102-394(6), the Purchasing Department shall present all renewal requests to the Board of Commissioners at least 90 days prior to the contract renewal date, 60 days if the contract term is six (6) months or less.

Scope of Work: The contract provides CCTV inspections of sewer lines and manholes, smoke testing, dye testing of the sanitary sewer collection system, and sewer system cleaning services by removing blockages from within the publically maintained sanitary sewer lines for the Department of Public Works in the North and South Fulton sanitary sewer service areas. This service contract is used because it is more fiscally responsible to use a contractor than Fulton County employees and purchasing the necessary equipment to perform this work.
